“My students always start sentences with a capital letter,” said no teacher ever.
Um….that would be a big no. Have I ever had a student who remembers to use punctuation, spaces, and capital letters all the time? On their own? Another big no.
But I have made serious progress in this area. My teaching improved, then my students’ outcomes improved. Go figure? 😉
